Many things become one: Future

New payroll giving campaign launched for Lufthansa Group employees / Group Executive Board doubles annual proceeds from voluntary salary donation in 2017

The new Payroll Giving campaign was launched on December 13 with a “guerrilla action” in the large parking garages at Frankfurt Airport. More than 7000 postcards with the new campaign motif were clamped behind the windscreen wipers. Today the action continues.

The claim of the campaign “From many things to one: Future” coupled with the image of the boy from the help alliance iThemba project in Cape Town wearing a stethoscope around his neck conveys all the positive qualities that the voluntary salary donation brings with it. Even a small contribution, for example rounding off the remuneration to the next euro, can have a great impact and enable the children and young people in the 35 help alliance education projects worldwide to have a self-determined future. Namely when many employees participate in payroll giving. There are a total of five variants of voluntary salary donation, depending on the amount you wish to donate.

In the coming weeks, further nationwide campaigns will follow to draw attention to the topic. Poster campaigns, table displays in the canteens etc. The Executive Board of the Lufthansa Group is also setting a good example by participating in payroll giving. In addition to the salary donation, the Board of Directors will double the amount that will be raised through Payroll Giving by the end of the year!

“With the campaign and the doubling of the proceeds, we want to motivate those who did not previously know that Payroll Giving existed in our company or who have not yet been able to make up their minds,” says Dr. Bettina Volkens, Lufthansa Group Executive Board Member Human Resources & Legal Affairs.

The approximately 10,000 children and young people who benefit directly and indirectly from the support in the 35 worldwide help alliance education projects thank you for your support and wish you all a peaceful Christmas season.
