Working for help alliance

Does help alliance offer jobs abroad?  

No, help alliance does not offer jobs abroad.

Does help alliance offer volunteer services or internships abroad?  

No, unfortunately we cannot offer volunteer services or internships abroad.

Is it possible to do an internship at help alliance? 

At regular intervals, it is possible for enrolled students to complete an internship at help alliance in various departments (e.g. communications, project portfolio management, digitization). The internship usually lasts 6 months. You can find current advertisements on the Lufthansa Group career site or on LinkedIn.

Can I submit a speculative application to help alliance? 

Jobs to be filled are advertised by help alliance on the Lufthansa Group’s career site and on other job portals. We therefore ask you to refrain from submitting unsolicited applications.

 

Support from help alliance

Can help alliance provide flight tickets for people in need? 

Unfortunately, we cannot provide airline tickets for people in need and cannot assist with the transportation of people, even in crisis and emergency situations. In this case, you are welcome to submit your request directly via the Lufthansa Group contact form.

 

All about donations

Does help alliance accept donations in kind or can assist with the transport of donations in kind, e.g. through free luggage on Lufthansa Group flights? 

We would like to thank you for your interest in supporting people in need in the form of donations in kind. However, we ask for your understanding that we cannot accept individual donations in kind, nor can we assist with transport. The reasons for this are that donated goods require large logistical capacities (collection, storage, transport) as well as customs guidelines and other legal regulations. In addition, donations in kind often do not correspond to cultural conditions and needs. With financial donations we can support the projects to purchase goods in the respective countries, which on the one hand ensures that goods are purchased according to the needs and on the other hand involves the local economy. Please support help alliance with a donation.

How can I support help alliance as a private person / employee?

Will donation 

What are the benefits of making a permanent donation to help alliance?  

Permanent donations allow us to plan our projects. In addition, you allow us to help quickly and unbureaucratically in crisis situations. This reliable help allows us to sustain our projects to improve the quality of life of children and young people. This is possible as a standing order or also through the payroll.

How can I cancel my standing donation or change the donation amount? 

You can cancel your permanent donation at any time and of course free of charge by phone or by mail. An adjustment of the donation amount and its regularity (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually) can also be processed easily and immediately.

Can I deduct my donation to help alliance from my taxes? 

Yes, you can make a donation to help alliance tax deductible at the tax office. For this purpose, you will receive a donation receipt from us by mail at the beginning of the following year.

When will I receive my donation receipt? 

At the beginning of February of the following year, we will send the donation receipt by mail without being asked. If you would like an individual receipt during the year or need donation receipts from previous years, please contact us.

What are the administrative costs of help alliance? / What proportion of my donation goes towards the project work? 

The Lufthansa Group supports the work of help alliance by paying for all administrative costs. This means that 100% of your donation goes to the project!

How does help alliance protect my data?  

The security of your data is a top priority for help alliance and will not be passed on to third parties. Your data is transmitted to us in encrypted form. Read more about our privacy policy here.

How to submit a project funding request? 

We only offer the opportunity to submit project requests to employees of the Lufthansa Group. You are an employee of the Lufthansa Group and are involved in a social project or know of a great project that deserves support? In this case, you can submit your project request once a year via our eBase site. The application periods and the criteria for project support can also be found on this page.

How can I volunteer with help alliance? 

help alliance is an employee organization of the Lufthansa Group, which is why we can only offer volunteer work to employees of the Lufthansa Group. For example, you can volunteer as a project leader or in our volunteer groups (help alliance communities). In this case, we ask you to inform yourself about the engagement opportunities on e-base or to contact us by e-mail at helpalliance@dlh.de with your request.

Is there an opportunity to visit or volunteer in one of the projects abroad? 

We are keen to ensure that the funded projects receive the most targeted personnel support possible, in line with their needs. As a rule, working in the projects abroad requires specialist and or regional knowledge. As an employee organization, we can make this possible for Lufthansa Group employees in selected situations. For this purpose, please follow our announcements on the internal Lufthansa Group communication channels or contact us at helpalliance@dlh.de.
Beyond that, we cannot make it possible to visit or work on a project, nor can we assist with placement.
