Spare Change Donation

Where to put the remaining coins and notes from the holidays or the foreign exchange from earlier times? Our suggestion: Make yourself and others happy with it! Under the motto “Small money, big help” we can use your change for our project work and thus support people who urgently need our and your help.

If you want to help us “as if in flight”, simply do so on board of all long-haul flights of Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Edelweiss Air, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings or Condor. There are small donation collection bags available for you – all you have to do is put the desired amount in the bag and hand it over to your flight attendant at the end of your trip.

You can put any currency into the bags – it does not matter if you have classic currencies like the Euro or Dollar or exotic ones like the Uganda Shilling at hand. It is also possible, by the way, to have currencies that are officially no longer in circulation, such as the “good old D-Mark” or the Austrian Schilling.

We work together with professional service providers who exchange all these currencies back into Euro for us and thus convert them into “real money”. And the best thing is: the fees for collecting, counting and exchanging the money are so modest that on average 90% of your donated remaining money can flow into the projects.

You can also “leave us a donation” in the passenger lounges at all German airports and selected national and international airports as well as in the staff areas. At selected locations around the world, you will find about 100 help alliance donation boxes into which coins and notes of all currencies can be deposited.

Just put your “treasures” into an envelope or parcel and send it to us – directly to the help alliance office or via our service provider Coins.de.
