Promotion of Democracy

As part of its social commitment, Lufthansa Technik has set itself the goal of supporting projects in the areas of education, democracy and ethics, as well as social participation. Starting this year, the company is funding the “Democracy Talents” project run by Common Purpose Germany through help alliance.

The project creates learning spaces where democratic processes can be experienced firsthand and specifically strengthens the democratic and digital skills of young people and teachers. It was selected in an internal vote by Lufthansa Technik employees from among three educational projects. Thanks to this funding, the project can expand at the Hamburg location, reach new participants, build school partnerships, and establish itself for the long term. Funding begins in June, and the first workshops supported by Lufthansa Technik will start in September.
