Great newspaper report about project coordinator Julia Hillebrecht and her commitment for slum children in New Delhi, India

Since its foundation in 1999 until today the voluntary commitment of our project coordinators is the heart of help alliance. Especially in the current times the personal relationship to the respective projects is of even greater importance. This is how we learn directly about the current needs, challenges and also exciting solutions and can react accordingly.

Julia Hillebrecht is one of these project coordinators and has been part of help alliance since 2009. She worked for many years as a flight attendant for Lufthansa (1997-2014) and is together with Anke Walther responsible for the Sunshine Project – School Education and a Happy Childhood for Slum Children.

A great newspaper report about her commitment in New Delhi and the current challenges on site was recently published. Click here for the newspaper report (German only).

“The happiness of the Sunshine children and the success and continuation of the Sunshine Project have become a life task for me, which fills me with pride and satisfaction. These 267 children have become like my own children. To see how they escape from poverty and misery through education and love is a daily incentive for me.”
