Patroness visits Stern des Südens

11. May 2018

45.000 Euro for the extension of the clubhouse

The help alliance was also represented at the Annual General Meeting with its own information booth. Patron Vivian Spohr used the opportunity to pay a visit to the ‘Stern des Südens’ (Star of the South) project in Flörsheim near Frankfurt. Currently around 60 children with a migration or refugee background are given play-based support in learning the German language and taken care of after school hours. Also there were help alliance Project Leader and A320 pilot Michael Kopf and flight attendant Angie Kuhm, who have both been involved in doing voluntary work for the project in Flörsheim for many years. Ms Spohr did not come empty handed either – she brought with her a cheque for EUR 45,000 which will cover half of the costs for the urgently needed extension to the project’s premises. This will mean that even more children can be offered care and support.
