The drop-in center is part of the four-level child protection program

On March 22nd in Pattaya, Thailand, there was reason for joy as we were able to open the Drop-In Center for children in need. In the facility of our cooperation partner Human Help Network Foundation Thailand (HHNFT) an average of 150 children per month can be provided with food, clothing and medication. The German and French ambassadors in Thailand Peter Prugel and Gilles Garachon, Paul Majeran, Managing Director Lufthansa Global Business Services, Dirk Grossmann, Lufthansa General Manager Thailand and Mekong Region and Joachim Steinbach, representative of help alliance, gathered for the Ribbon Cut.

“In Pattaya and the nearby region alone there are around 3,800 homeless children and young people at risk. With the new center we will be able to help children in need. We would like to thank our partner help alliance for their continued support,” said Radchada Chomjinda, Director of HHNFT.

The drop-in center is part of the four-level child protection program that focuses on the rights of children. This also includes a protection and development centre and the prevention measures. The aim is to make help available in all areas.

“Lufthansa has been flying to Bangkok for more than 50 years. While Thailand has developed into an important business and tourism destination, there are still people in need who do not benefit from this development – especially children. We are more than happy that help alliance has had the opportunity to support the wonderful work of our partners in Thailand with more than one million Euros over the last 15 years”, adds Joachim Steinbach, General Manager of help alliance.
