help alliance takes part in the RTL Charity Marathon for the fifth time

For the fifth time in a row, the strong alliance of Mastercard, the “RTL – Wir helfen Kindern” foundation and help alliance came together to improve access to education for children in countries of the global South as part of the RTL Charity Marathon.

In the TV studio, Andrea Pernkopf, Managing Director of help alliance, together with celebrity sponsor and actor Wayne Carpendale, presented the “School of the Future” project in Tanzania and appealed for donations.

Mastercard supported the project with a donation of € 200,000 and presented the digital cheque live in the TV studio.

In the course of the charity marathon, many committed viewers also support the children in Tanzania.

With the support of Mastercard and the “Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e.V.” foundation, help alliance will use the funds raised to build the urgently needed preschool and primary school in Tanzania.

An estimated two million children between the ages of seven and 13 in Tanzania have no access to primary education, and access to pre-school education is even lower.

That is why we are building an innovative school centre for 850 school children in the Arusha project region. The integrative Montessori learning concept promotes the individual development and independence of the children.

The school will be the first “green school” in the Arusha region, where children will learn about sustainability and environmental responsibility. An integrated school garden will teach children how to care for nature and raise awareness of healthy eating.

Every euro donated to the project will go 100% directly to the project and towards the construction of the school.
