A strong presentation on Aviation Day at Frankfurt Airport

More than 80,000 people attended Aviation Day at Frankfurt Airport last weekend. On the area of the future Terminal 3, events included a unique aircraft exhibition, which showed over 30 exhibits from the world of aircraft and brought together history and the modern era in this way for the first time. The highlight was Lufthansa’s A380 “Frankfurt”. In addition, Lufthansa, help alliance partner Condor and Fraport introduced themselves and gave advice on careers and training opportunities.

help alliance was also represented with a stand about its local project “Stern des Südens” (“Star of the South”) from Flörsheim together with Cargo Human Care. The direct placement next to the A380 as well as a drawing competition for children ensured much hustle and bustle as well as interesting conversations.

Video: Kids discover the LH A380

As the A380 was not accessible to visitors on Aviation Day, a film was produced in advance which showed insights into the Lufthansa flagship. The special thing: The protagonists of the film were the children looked after in Flörsheim at “Stern des Südens”. The film was narrated by A320 co-pilot Michael Kopf, who has been involved in the project for many years. It was a fantastic experience for the children to get this exclusive tour.

The film was also shown several times on the main stage. Moderator Markus Appelmann took the opportunity to talk about the work of help alliance, the Lufthansa Group help organization. It was center stage for help alliance, which also helped generate many donations.
