D/A/CH Sales team supports help alliance

At the beginning of the week, Jürgen Siebenrock, Vice President of Sales Home Markets & Global Key Account Management, presented not one but two checks, totaling EUR 25,000, to the new Managing Director of help alliance, Andrea Pernkopf.

Almost EUR 11,000 were collected for help alliance at the annual kick-off event of the D/A/CH Sales team, “X-change”, in Seeheim at the beginning of February. Those attending the event were given the chance to take part in a tombola to win some great prizes. 100% of the money raised through the sale of the tickets went to the Lufthansa Group’s aid organization.

“help alliance is the central pillar of the Group’s commitment to social projects. So it is natural for us to support the projects which our employees organize”, Siebenrock explained.

“In this way, we are not only helping disadvantaged children and young people across the world, we are also showing appreciation for the voluntary work carried out by our employees.”

In the second fundraising campaign, EUR 13,500 were collected. This sum was raised through the sale to employees of old iPads whose costs had been completely written off. The Sales team received new tablets two years ago.

“We are really pleased about this donation from the D/A/CH Sales team, who have been giving us their support for many years now”, said Pernkopf, as the check was handed over. “As well as this, we also have plans for the future to further expand our collaboration with the HX area.”
