On title hunt in front of the LAC

At the table soccer tournament of the LVK14 apprentices on 09.06.2016 in favour of help alliance and the project “Stern des Südens e.V.” in front of the LAC 45 colleagues of the LH Group competed against each other in 16 teams according to the knockout system. The game was played with good spirits on three cardboard kickers in exclusive Lufthansa design. The tournament winners Dynamo Tresen were presented with a goodie package from Lufthansa Group Airlines after a thrilling final in which they defeated their opponent 1 TKC LAC n.e.V. 9:7. Throughout the entire event, the kickers could be purchased in an auction against a bid.

Not only the teams of the tournament, but also all other football fans were offered a varied lunch break. With free games and with snacks and drinks the sunny lunch could be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. Help alliance was prominently represented at the tournament before the LAC: Joachim Steinbach, Chief Representative of Lufthansa, opened the event.

At an information stand, Lisete Schwarz, chairwoman of the association Stern des Südens, informed about its activities. The association is committed to better education. In the Rhine-Main region, it supports children with a migration background in learning German in a playful way and helps them with their homework.

Every apprentice year organizes a charitable event in the course of the training. The idea of playing soccer this year came from trainee Katharina Keppeler. At a trade fair in Frankfurt, she got to know the company Kickpack, which produces the special kickers. The kickers were a perfect fit for the upcoming European Championship. Not only the training management and the apprentices were very satisfied with the response and the proceeds of almost 700 Euros, but also the representatives of help alliance and Stern des Südens e.V.
