Enjoy the sun and help others at the same time? Is that even possible?

The origin of the campaign was when people enthusiastically asked whether the LH sunbeds could be purchased for private purposes at the opening event of the Spirit Lounge at the FOC in Munich. This question was taken to heart by a committed employee from the board of directors and so the idea was born to auction off Lufthansa sun loungers among the employees for a good cause.

For this campaign 20 of these coveted sun chairs were sponsored by Steffen Harbarth, MUC L/C.

The Innovation Team (MUC EO/K-I) turned the idea into reality and all Munich employees had the opportunity to buy one of these deck chairs at an auction from 01.08. to 10.08.

Due to the great response to the campaign among the employees, another 8 deck chairs were spontaneously made available. Together they amounted to about 1.400€. The three highest bids were even over 100€ each.

Mr. Harbarth handed over the proceeds of the campaign to Mickey Lederer, representative of help alliance and project coordinator of the Safe-House project in Johannesburg.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Innovation Team and Mr. Harbarth for the great campaign.
