Aid for Nepal: help alliance calls for donations

help alliance supports reconstruction projects after earthquakes

The destruction caused by the earthquake in Nepal is unbelievable. The everyday life and cultural treasures of an entire nation were destroyed within minutes. Children lost their parents and parents their children: millennia-old buildings are now in ruins. More than 4,000 people have already died in the earthquake and the number of injured is much higher – and is expected to rise further. Due to ongoing aftershocks, hundreds of thousands of people are forced to camp out in the street. Some remote villages are completely cut off.
Nepal is one of the world’s poorest countries. It does not even have the status of being a so-called developing country. Only through global aid can people rebuild their country.

As with other natural disasters, for example, after the tsunami in the Philippines or the earthquake in Haiti, help alliance will support major reconstruction projects in Nepal with professional local partners. Project proposals are subject to careful evaluation and assessment by help alliance.
