Small money for great help

Employees support help alliance with spare change donations during the Change4change campaign /  Change-money heroes wanted

help alliance was recently on tour with a yellow VW bus for the Change4change campaign. At various Lufthansa Group locations in Frankfurt employees had the opportunity to donate their spare change money to help alliance and thus support disadvantaged people all over the world. The shillings, rupees or pesetas brought back from a vacation or business trip are not only a nice souvenir but also “real” money. And help alliance has the necessary logistics and infrastructure to make “real” money out of remaining foreign currency. This is not only possible with valid currencies, but also with currencies that are no longer an official means of payment.

The campaign was developed by dedicated colleagues during their free time or short-time work and is an excellent example of how new, creative ideas help to survive in times of crisis. And the results are impressive: The first locations have already been evaluated by our service provider and from the spare change donations more than 600 Euros of “real” money have already been collected as a donation for help alliance. And this is just the beginning, because not all donations have been counted yet.

We are very happy about the great commitment of all participants true to the motto “Small money for great help”! We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our partner Hertz, who made it possible to be on tour with the yellow bully and to collect donations.

Help us to make “real” money again from old dusty currencies found in the attic or basement. You can collect spare change money in your circle of friends and acquaintances or call for your guests or visitors to bring those currenciees to a party or event. Even better: You collect regularly at your workplace – if enough has been collected, our service provider will collect the money directly from you (on request). Without great effort for you! With dedication, passion for the “good cause” and a good network, we can regularly collect essential amounts for our projects all over the world.

1) Change by mail

Just put your “treasures” into an envelope or parcel and send it to us – directly to the help alliance office or via our service provider Coins.de. You can find an FAQ for sending by mail here.

2) Donation boxes

You can also “leave us a donation” in the passenger lounges at all German airports and selected national and international airports as well as in the staff areas. At selected locations around the world, you will find about 100 help alliance donation boxes into which coins and notes of all currencies can be deposited.

3) On Board Collection

And last but not least, something good can be done “in flight”. On board the long-haul flights of Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Edelweiss, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings, donation collection bags are available in which you can put your coins and bills of any currency – small money, great help.
