Christmas event at the Düsseldorf Aquazoo
60 children dive into the underwater world
Out of the classroom and into the Aquazoo: that’s what they said this week at a help alliance Christmas event in Düsseldorf. More than 60 children in classes 5-10, all participants of the “Chancenwerk” funding programme financed by the help alliance since 2015 at three Düsseldorf cooperation schools, had accepted the invitation to the Düsseldorf Aquazoo. After being divided into several small groups, the pupils, including many refugee children, had ample time to get to know the exciting underwater world. The young visitors were enthusiastic about the worlds they had never seen before – especially the scorpion lizards, penguins and Australian crocodiles. Some of the children were so tied up that they had to be pulled out of the Aquazoo. The curious group was accompanied by Dr. Andrea Puschhof (Strategic Head of Chancenwerk), the Düsseldorf school and learning coordinators as well as the Lufthanseaten Blaise-Pascal Adona Dalmeida (Cityline Technology) and the help alliance project coordinator Imke Schepers (Director of North Rhine-Westphalia Sales and Distribution). Result: Repeat desired!
