help alliance is the non-profit organization of the Lufthansa Group that has been supporting educational projects for children, adolescents, and young adults around the world since 1999. Volunteer project leaders from the Lufthansa Group work together with local partners to empower young people and help them build a self-determined future. The Middle East is culturally and religiously diverse, but faces major social and economic problems. Educational opportunities are unevenly distributed, especially for girls in rural regions. The youth unemployment is around 30%, and many university graduates are unable to find a job as the education system is hardly geared towards the private sector. Additionally, teachers are usually underpaid and there are hardly any practical vocational training opportunities.

This is why we are committed to education, vocational training and the empowerment of women and girls in the region. With targeted projects, from school lessons to IT and language courses, we promote individual talents, boost self-confidence and open up new life prospects.
