Abury Hospitality Academy, Marocco
The Abury Hospitality Academy trains young women in Marrakech for careers in hospitality, combining professional skills with personal development and mentoring. This creates real job opportunities and opens the door to a self-determined life in a rapidly growing tourism sector.

The Project
In Marrakech, many young women face barriers to a self-determined life. Early marriage, lack of access to education, and invisibility in the informal labor market leave their potential untapped. At the same time, the tourism sector is growing rapidly and urgently needs qualified staff. This is where the Abury Hospitality Academy steps in, bridging the gap between young women with undiscovered talents and an industry full of opportunities.
The project targets women aged 18 to 30 who have had little access to formal education or employment. Over nine months, participants gain professional skills in hospitality, service, housekeeping, hygiene, nutrition, and IT, combined with personal development, English lessons, and tailored mentoring. It’s not just about knowledge – it’s about building confidence and creating a safe space where women learn to find their voice and redefine their place in society.
Through strong partnerships with local hotels and restaurants, participants gain practical experience and valuable industry contacts. The goal is for at least 80% of graduates to secure permanent employment within three months.
The project’s impact goes beyond the individual. As women become visible, working in hotels, taking responsibility, and interacting with guests, they become role models, challenging traditional boundaries and inspiring change.
The Abury Hospitality Academy is more than a training program. It drives economic participation, social recognition, and a new narrative of female empowerment in Morocco.
