help alliance offers Lufthansa employees a forum on the topic of migration/integration
Launch event in Frankfurt receives positive feedback
For several months now help alliance has been active in various areas to support arriving refugees and migrants who have been living in Germany for a longer period of time. The aim is to integrate these people well into our society. Due to the linguistic diversity of the Lufthansa employees, the focus is on interpreting and learning mentorships. The help alliance has launched a nationwide call for volunteer interpreters in the Lufthansa Group and placed them in various positions throughout Germany.
This kind of voluntary work usually brings together completely different cultures. Therefore, it is a special concern of help alliance to offer internal supporters a space for an exchange of experiences and at the same time to actively enable and professionalize them to deal with the current situation.
The kick-off event in Frankfurt on the topic ” How to . . . Integration – an intercultural challenge” took place at exactly the right time with the right audience and speakers. Due to the positive feedback, further events on this topic will follow.
Thus, help alliance offers Lufthansa employees the opportunity to do voluntary work and at the same time a kind of supervision on the difficult but relevant topic of refuge.
