Our project work in Africa
African countries face widespread poverty, which strongly affects education and the labor market. Many families cannot afford education, leading to school dropouts and a shortage of highly skilled workers. Although education rates have increased due to international development cooperation, the education situation in sub-Saharan Africa remains problematic. Only 56% of children there complete primary school. Additionally, despite economic growth, too few jobs are created, resulting in high youth unemployment.
As help alliance, we are committed to improving education and access to work and income in Africa through diverse projects. New schools are being built to provide children without access to education the opportunity to learn and offer them a safe space for free development. At the same time, young people and disadvantaged women are supported through practical training programs to help them enter the workforce more easily.
