Much more than a trainee programme

Handelsblatt and Wirtschaftswoche report on the use of ProTeamler in the help alliance project in Thailand

More and more young employees want their employers to be aware of their social responsibility. The Lufthansa Group combines both: social commitment and valuable experience for the job.

For the second time, ten ProTeam members from the Lufthansa Group’s junior staff program spent four weeks in the help alliance’s street children’s project in Pattaya, Thailand. The closing event was also the 10th anniversary of the project.

The participants returned with a backpack full of impressions at the end of October. They report on their experiences on their blog and in the video.

The importance of these experiences is confirmed by Susanne Berthold-Neumann, program manager: “The experience of global social challenges promotes the personal development of the ProTeam members and their willingness to assume responsibility. Experiences outside the professional environment can be very helpful, especially for teamwork”.

Last Friday Wirtschaftswoche and Handelsblatt also reported on this.
