help alliance becomes a gGmbH

Over 17 years ago, a group of committed Lufthansa employees came together to found the help alliance e.V. By working together on various aid projects, their goal was to ensure in future that more and more people on this planet would be able to make decisions for themselves about how they wanted to live. Together we have managed to reach people and to be there to offer our help and support where it is most urgently needed.

For this we would like to offer our sincere thanks. Thank you – for the many years of loyalty and support. Thank you for becoming an important part of help alliance.

It must be said however, that it has, in the meantime, become very difficult to look after the growing volume of projects which we have within the structure of an association.

For this reason, we want to take the next important step for the coming 17 years; together with our donors, the friends of help alliance and our project leaders to form help alliance gGmbH. By the way, the lower case g stands for the German “gemeinnützig” which means charitable.

17 years’ experience in projects worldwide has shown us one thing for certain – in order to be able to offer appropriate help in so many places, we need many helping hands and regular, generous donations. This is why, with the setting up of the help alliance gGmbH, we hope to anchor our employees’ aid organisation more firmly within the Lufthansa Group. Together we can then make full use of the potential and all the diverse types of involvement of the employees, in an even better and more intensive way – and in doing so, be able to offer prospects to even more people who would otherwise have been denied them. With your unique help and support, we hope to achieve our ambitious goals of further expanding our existing projects, and supporting new ones as well.
It goes without saying that, in forming the help alliance gGmbH, we will remain true to our principle and will continue to offer our commitment “in the world, where people live” And nothing will change for you – we are recognised as a charitable organisation, so your donations will continue to be tax-deductible.
