A two-week workshop in Haiti

“driving business – driving future” was initiated by young lufthanseats

At first glance, New York, London, Frankfurt and Port-au-Prince do not seem to have too much in common. The unifying element is a vision that developed from a Rotarian event in New York. Lufthanseat Jan Holz met the Haitian Jew Tranquille, who wants to support young entrepreneurs in his country on their way to independence with his organization Devote Servants.

“driving business – driving future” this is to happen at the beginning of June during a 14-day workshop in the planned Entrepreneurship Camp. Within a few days, publications in the employee newspaper Der Lufthanseat and the newsletter of the German-American Chamber of Commerce brought together more than twenty speakers with a broad spectrum of know-how that they would like to pass on to the participants.

The pilot project will provide ample opportunities for both speakers and participants to learn from each other through intercultural exchange.

This idea and the great voluntary commitment immediately found support within the Executive Board of the Lufthansa Group. Simone Menne, Chief Financial Officer, spontaneously took over the sponsorship of the project.
